We are currently seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to drive development of lab based engineering systems to evaluate, characterize and validate component, sub-systems and final product performance and reliability. The Senior Hardware Engineer will need to demonstrate the ability to work concurrently with Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing and Test Engineering in creating innovative Electro-Optical systems.
The position will require working on a cross function team to develop Display system components, leading the development of lab based optical, mechanical and electrical systems. Additional responsibilities include creating and maintaining documentation and release notes, contributing to the system specifications and defining functional tests. The position is responsible for designing experiments; collecting, analyzing and interpreting data; technical problem solving; innovating creative solutions; and clear communication of findings both internally to Sr. Management and externally to suppliers
Required 10+ years experience in electrical and optical device test, measurement, specification and characterization. BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering or similar engineering field. Applicant must be able to travel to design and manufacturing locations throughout the world to include Asia and Europe. Preferred Proven track record working with optical systems and implementing data acquisition systems.
