Amazon is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Sales and Marketing (SMS) Financial Planning and Analysis (FP and A) group. The FP and A team is responsible for managing financial rhythms of the business, including the annual operating plan, long range plan, regular forecast process, and for providing analytical support to senior management. The role operates in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, and influences the decisions of senior business leaders both within AWS and across the broader Amazon through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. · Manage, analyze and forecast AWS Accounts Receivables (AR) and AR Days metrics by payment method (credit card, terms, and pre-pays). Explain drivers of change to senior leadership · Manage, analyze and forecast short-term and long-term Deferred Revenue.
· BA/BS required · 4+ years in finance roles with progressively increasing levels of responsibility· MBA preferred · Exceptional analytic skills and a demonstrated ability to build financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving · Experience performing financial and ad hoc analyses using advanced Excel functionality and providing recommendations based on results to senior management for strategic decision-making. · Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion · Ability to work independently in a fast-paced
