Are you passionate about working with data, driven to dive deep, and eager to make a broad business impact? Amazon is looking for a talented, customer-focused data engineer to own the data infrastructure, data tools development and reporting for the Market Intelligence Team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the architecture, design and development of the data, metrics and reporting platform for the Market Intelligence team. You will work with analytic tools, write excellent SQL scripts, build automated web scraping solutions and partner with external and internal customers such as business analysts and market researchers to answer key business questions. You will be responsible for streamlining, automating and integrating the delivery of structured and unstructured data that will drive a variety of talent-related research projects which range from researching individual candidates to analyzing macro market trends. · Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative/technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering) · 8+ years of industry experience in data engineering, software development, business intelligence, or related field with a track record of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from structured and unstructured datasets · Hands-on experience in automation and Web Crawling/Web scraping in Python or other scripting language · Strong understanding of ETL concepts and experience building them with complex datasets · Experience using big data technologies (AWS Redshift, Hadoop, Hive, Hbase,
