Merch by Amazon is looking for a Senior Applied Scientist to help use data science and machine learning to unblock pain points and optimize the experience for our designers and customers. Responsibilities include: · Utilize Deep Learning, NLP, and other ML techniques to understand and keep a high bar for our designers and designs · Optimize our on-demand fulfillment processes to delight customers with quick, scalable delivery · Identify and serve the most relevant content to designers, brands, and customers · Investigate and design data driven solutions for challenging business problems · Build and maintain high quality automated machine learning and data pipelines to minimize operational
· PhD or MS in Statistics, Computer Science, or an experimental social science field (such as Psychology or Behavioral Economics) · At least 5 years of hands-on experience in predictive modeling and analysis · 4+ years hands-on experience programming in Python, Java, C++ or other similar programming languages · Proficiency in model development, model validation, implementation, and monitoring for large-scale machine learning applications · Proficiency in extracting, querying, and conducting analysis of data in data in tabular formats using one of the following: (1) R, Python, or Spark dataframes,
