We are looking for a self-motivated, experienced developer to help us develop the next generation of tools that drive the discoverability of research projects internally at Microsoft. The ideal candidate should be proficient in multiple aspects of application development, including Web Development, SQL Database design, Azure, and Media Services. In addition to development, the candidate should be excited about meaningfully contributing to the overall design of applications and be willing to learn new technologies.
• Contributing to the design and architecture of internal-facing applications. • Development of new applications and maintenance of existing applications. • Documentation and support for new and existing applications.
• At least 5 years of experience working on commercial software applications or services, with an emphasis on web-based projects. • 5 years of C# and in general working with .NET • Experience developing and supporting medium to large websites. • Experience with JavaScript and jQuery. • Experience with Azure and Microsoft cloud technologies in general. • Experience with SQL Databases and Entity Framework. • Excellent problem solving, collaboration, and communication skills. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
