Microsoft is hiring a product designer to join the Azure Boards team in Microsoft's Azure DevOps . As a designer within Azure Boards, you'll feel at home with technical and complex systems and services, and will delight in translating this complexity into versatile, resilient, appropriately clean, simple, understandable, and opinionated user interfaces that place the user's needs at the core of the design. Our goal is to make Azure Boards the best work tracking tool in the world and help Microsoft achieve our mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Azure Boards is part of the Azure DevOps suite of products. If you join us, you will: Shape and influence the design of developer tools seen and used by millions Work alongside a welcoming group of smart designers who are always eager to share and to learn from each other

Work closely and collaboratively with research, product managers and engineers from hypothesis to implementation Team up to define and deliver the long-term vision for the product, prioritize and execute short-term investments Process complex problems and translate them into simple, elegant, detailed yet powerful interfaces Sketch, wireframe, mock and prototype your way to designing solutions Actively share work in progress and communicate ideas within the organization, and to the wider design team
Have experience designing software products within cross-functional teams Have an impressive portfolio (or a zip file with a bunch of samples, we know portfolios are hard) that includes product UI design and, ideally, design systems work Enjoy explaining and presenting your work and decisions and embrac e feedback to help you produce better design Are comfortable and have experience creating, stretching and extending shared patterns and behaviors Thrive working with other designers. Are familiar with Kanban, Lean or Agile development methodologies.
