Voice is the most natural user interface for interacting in the home and is quickly becoming the preferred way to seek information on any topic, at any time, from any place. Whether in the kitchen with Echo, on the couch with Fire TV, or the go with mobile, customers expect Alexa to delight them with immediate and accurate answers to their questions. The Alexa Smart Home UX Design team is seeking an innovative and highly motivated Principal UX Designer to take our product to the next level. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the overall Smart Home UX Design direction across mobile, web, and voice. Your responsibilities will span across many aspects of UX Design, including, but not limited to, information architecture, interaction, motion, visual, and prototyping. You will work closely with product management, engineering, and executive leadership to bring novel new consumer and developer experiences from concept to launch. You
· 10+ years of experience designing complex consumer-facing digital products and experiences · Knowledge of prototyping and testing at large and small scale. · Experience conducting executive-level communications and presentations · Experience using Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch or their functional equivalents. · Experience with design tools, such as InVision, Sketch, Axure, or Omnigraffle. · Experience working directly with developers for implementation of designs · Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field or equivalent professional experience.· Able to thrive in an ambiguous,
