The data center engineering team at Amazon Web Services is looking for a Principal Data Center Electrical Engineer to design and develop new products, technologies, and reference architecture for AWS data center infrastructure. AWS Data Center Global Services is responsible for the design and operation of industry-leading, large-scale, business critical global facilities. Each team member takes ownership to create, innovate and improve the design and function of the world’s largest data center fleet. · Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related scientific field. · 10+ years of experience in the electrical engineering design of large scale power delivery systems and component selection. · Experience in modular, temporary, or fast deploy power systems · Understanding of the NEC, IEC, NFPA, and familiarity with international codes and standards. · Basic understanding of mechanical cooling and systems design.· Ability to carry new design concepts through exploration, development, deployment and mass production. · Ability to research new designs, technologies, and construction methods
