The Alexa Smart Home team’s mission is to make Alexa the simplest and easiest way for customers to interact with the world around them. Customers already love using Alexa to interact with their homes through natural voice commands and intuitive interfaces and we are evolving Alexa into an intelligent companion that helps customers get the most out of the technology in their homes. We are looking for a Sr. Business Development Manager that will work with leading smart device manufacturers to create innovative experiences that drive customer adoption and usage of Alexa Smart Home technologies. In this role, you will be the face of Amazon to our partners and act as a business owner, an Alexa experience consultant, and a technology evangelist. You must possess a combination of technical skills and business acumen as well as a do-whatever-it-takes attitude to ensure our partners are able to take full advantage of Alexa to deliver delightful user experiences. Your responsibilities include working
- 8+ years of IoT, mobile and/or SaaS experience in a technical business development or product management role - Experience working with emerging technologies and/or Smart Home - Bachelors degree - Experience working with emerging technologies, especially IoT - Strong presentation, sales, and negotiation skills; ability to close high value and high profile deals - Strong ownership and bias for action; ability to internalize goals and work independently to create appropriate action plans for those goals - Strong analytical orientation; comfort using databases and analytical tools and making data-based
