Amazon World Wide Fulfillment design and Engineering Team (WW FD and E) is an innovative, research and development team that designs and engineers next generation of world-class fulfillment centers and logistic systems across the world. Every day we face varies challenges of designing and implementing ground breaking solutions for automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies and systems including robotics. WW FD and E growth is driving a rapid expansion of its teams and the need for an experienced Technical Program Manager to drive automation of processes and leverage existing and future concept designs to support business functions. This candidate would own and execute projects in coordination with key teams including Core Concept, Core EU/NA Firm Engineering, Ground Transportation, Air Transportation, Specialty and Simulation. The successful candidate must be able to lead meetings with a variety of technical and non-technical teams, attend vendor scorecard meetings, manage
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline), or 2+ Amazon experience · 3+ years of experience in the job offered or related occupation of Design/Innovation, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Project Management, or related · Experience in designing fulfillment systems with storage equipment, material handling systems, automated sortation, and related automation equipment · Proficiency using business/technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software · Experience must involve management of engineering design projects · Ability to travel 5% globally to interact with internal
