Our team's solutions are used by customers to accelerate high throughput, high scale, and/or low latency compute scenarios in Microsoft's data centers and in customer sites. We work with the most cutting edge hardware, including high density FPGAs, deployed in large scale. Our team solves challenging problems in the area of AI, computer vision, accelerated networking, accelerated storage, security, and hardware virtualization. Our solutions allow Microsoft teams and Microsoft customers to solve problems that are impractical or too expensive on traditional compute platforms. We're looking for a motivated hardware engineer to contribute to our core software and hardware stack. Day to day tasks for this may include writing RTL in Verilog and/or a HLS language, analyzing and optimizing results, and scripting and other light software tasks necessary to enable the

Hardware design on FPGAs in Verilog or VHDL. Using FPGA vendor tools to perform in-hardware troubleshooting, analysis of timing, and other tasks. Some software development in C/C++, Python, or other languages, as needed to facilitate hardware development.
Required Qualifications B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields 2+ years' experience in Verilog or VHL; must be able to demonstrate in an interview your ability to turn a design or algorithm into synthesizable HDL Familiar with at least one FPGA vendor (Altera/Intel, Xilinx) toolset, and understand the building blocks and design flow on an FPGA.
