Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation ( CO+I ) is the team behind the cloud. CO+I is responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide. We are looking for a passionate, high energy individual to help build the network that powers the world's largest online services. Within CO+I , the Data Center Availability ( DCA ) team is responsible for ensuring the uptime, reliability and availability of Microsoft's cloud business data centers. Microsoft has a portfolio of data centers globally and DCA is looking to fill the vital role of Director of Operational Readiness.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the further development and maturing of Microsoft's data center Forensic Engineering . Partnering with the various teams and engineering organizations across Azure and Microsoft to create a Forensic Engineering program. This individual will have experience in critical environments such as Data Centers, Pharmaceutical, Precision Manufacturing , or like industries, ensuring the availability through enhanced operational acuity. You must also be a teacher , learner and a leader of your team's space, due to the complex nature of high availability systems
Experience Required: 6+ years of experience in working in critical environments . 4 + years managing a team . Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent field. Expertise in development of highly resilient operational models. Familiarity with Data Center or Critical Environment's Mechanical and Electrical systems (Air handlers, UPS, CRAC units, PDU, etc.) Preferred Experience: Proven record to drive to and achieve results in midst of ambiguity and across multiple organizations. Experience with extracting, interpreting and translating BAS, BMS, SCADA and EPMS
