Director of Energy Market- APAC, Cloud Operations and Innovation This role will be responsible for managing energy projects for Microsoft's Cloud and Infrastructure Organization (CI+O) in the Asia Pacific region. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of energy procurement, energy markets, finance, and policy.
Key responsibilities: Lead the APAC energy team in defining and executing on strategy. Source, negotiate, and manage energy projects against plans and objectives to ensure commitments are met, delivering against cost savings goals. Partner with internal teams to align to renewable, distributed energy and policy strategies Develop/Refine financial models to analyze energy project economics. Work with third parties to develop and monitor analytics tools for portfolio analysis. Collaborate with internal stakeholder in finance, legal, and government affairs to support business case development. Support
Knowledge, experience and skills: Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, engineering 10+ years of experience in energy project management 10+ years of experience in wholesale and retail power markets Advanced proficiency in negotiating, reading and writing contractual agreements and modeling tools Ability to relocate to Redmond, WA area Growth mindset with problem-solving skills Knowledge of global power markets Preferred, not required: Master's degree in economics, finance business administration, engineering
