As a Data Scientist for Amazon.com’s Delivery Experience team, you will manage customer behavioral and conversion datasets and leverage your statistical and analytics experience to identify new opportunities and actionable insights that drive Amazon’s world-class delivery experience. Delivery Experience (DEX) designs, builds, and manages customer-facing delivery programs and features across all of Amazon, including Prime 2-day shipping, Prime FREE Same-Day Delivery, One-Day Shipping, No Rush, Free Shipping over $25, and inventions yet to come. You will drive innovations powered by Amazon’s vast data to change how customers experience delivery – from the speed, convenience, delivery benefits, and selection features they see on the site every day, to helping launch new delivery benefits and other new programs to customers around the world. In this role, you will analyze causal datasets (from online experiments) and general behavioral datasets to influence billion dollar decisions across the
· Bachelor Degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science Engineering, Systems Engineering, Statistics · 5+ years of experience as a data scientist or related field working with relevant technologies, enterprise reporting systems, data analytics · Proficient in Python or similar scripting language, and proficient in data extraction, manipulation, statistical analysis and modeling · Highly proficient using SQL queries in a business environment · Good interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication · Proficient in Python or similar scripting language, and proficient in data
