As Real Estate Counsel, Global RE Facilities, you will work with Amazon’s existing real estate attorneys and the Global Real Estate Facilities team to support Amazon’s diverse internal businesses to launch and maintain new office real estate facilities worldwide that house our global innovations. This position structures, drafts and negotiates agreements, solves ambiguous problems, manages outside counsel, and counsels internal business clients on: · Tenant side sourcing for various facilities, including leasing or purchase agreements (existing facilities, buildings under construction and build-to-suits), subleases, development and entitlements issues, and land use and zoning issues; · · Property management agreements and facility management issues;
· 6+ years of legal experience as a real estate attorney (with at least three years at a law firm) · Leasing experience required (office leasing a plus) · Juris Doctor and membership in good standing in at least one state bar is required. · In-house experience in a technology or Internet company or real estate company · High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously · Construction, procurement and/or EHS experience is a plus · Ability to think strategically and execute methodically · Ability
