Windows Developer Marketing Manager - Emerging Tech Do you LOVE developers? Are you convinced of their importance to Microsoft's future? Are you passionate about what developers do, how they do it, the communities they form and the tools and services they use? Wonderful! We're passionate about these things too! Want to join us? The Windows Dev Marketing team is looking for a passionate evangelist of emerging technology –tech like the Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality/Mixed Reality (AR/VR/MR), the Microsoft Bot Framework, Azure Cognitive Services, and other new technologies (some that don't even exist yet!). Would you like to learn (and teach worldwide developers to use) awesome emerging tech on the Microsoft stack? Want to help devs build apps, websites, or IoT creations that smartly identify, caption and moderate pictures? That convert spoken audio into text, use voice for verification, or add speaker recognition? Maybe process natural language with pre-built
As a member of our team, you would: Spend time learning deeply and broadly about cutting-edge technology – both technologies in which Microsoft already has a compelling story and relevant investment (think IoT, Windows + Azure, Mixed Reality, Microsoft Graph, Cognitive Services – as well as newer tech Support worldwide developers by writing working code, creating demos, and coming up with samples across a range of frameworks and technologies Share code, demos, and samples "with the universe" in person at events and hackathons, at scale on web properties and other sites, and on code repositories
Minimum Qualifications: 3+ years' experience as a developer or software engineer. +2 years of teaching development or code experience (i.e. teaching people how to code, CS teacher, TA, etc.) Public speaking/presentation experience in a professional setting, for +100 audience (i.e. teaching, running demos, coding). Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of recent developer marketing, teaching, evangelism, or developer community management experience (either as a full-time job or as a passion project!) AWESOME at coaching beginner coders In love with technology and convinced of its ability to help create
