Amazon is looking for Systems Development Engineers to build the software that manages one of the world’s largest and most complex networks. Tens of millions of customers rely on Amazon’s network for using our retail websites, accessing content on their Kindles and building applications and businesses on top of Amazon Web Services (AWS). The Link Lifecycle team builds critical software that enables humans and machines to isolate, troubleshoot and mitigate physical network failures. · 3+ years relevant work experience · Experience deploying and operating software in a cloud environment · Experience in automation via shell scripting and Python programming · Knowledge of standard internet protocols (Ethernet, ARP, IP, ICMP, UDP, TCP, SSL, DNS, HTTP, etc.) · Experience working on IP networking technologies, routers, switches and the application of routing protocols. (OSPF, BGP)· You want to write software that is making changes to network devices like routers, switches, firewalls and the internet traffic itself. · You are interested in removing the human element from remediating
