AWS Government Cloud Solutions Operations team in Seattle, WA is looking for Support Engineer to join our growing team. The Operations team drives stability and sustainability of next-generation tooling to discover innovative ways to automate and standardize our software deployment process. AWS Government Cloud Solutions Operations team supports the U.S. Intelligence Community agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems with the latest cloud technologies. Engineers within our team come in for three, 3 month rotations in our AWS Services team (EC2, Lambda, RDS, etc). Throughout this rotation you will complete a Linux Certification with hands on classroom training to learn new skills to implement in real life projects combined with on the job learnings. · 5+ years hands on support engineering or system admin experience on Linux or Unix systems · 5+ years writing and editing scripts in languages such as Bash, Python, C, C++, Java or Ruby · Bachelor’s degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field · This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph· Strong ownership, urgency, and drive to launch services · Experience with a modern programming language such as C, C++, or Java
