In this role you will apply a strategic lens to find and implement the most valuable engineering system improvements for Devices which empower the engineers and designers behind Xbox, Surface, and HoloLens. Devices is looking for a motivated and energetic leader with a systems view of the product development process who can lead change within a large corporate environment. As the Solutions Architect and Chief of Staff for the Devices Engineering Tools and Services team you will be responsible for driving the strategic vision for Devices Engineering at Microsoft and helping build the rhythms and structures necessary to implement that vision.
Responsibilities include documenting the vision for the Devices Engineering System, organizing and managing the Rhythm of Business (ROB) for the Tools and Services team, developing organizational change management strategies and plans, building metrics for the engineering system to facilitate continuous improvement, and leading large-scale change initiatives.
A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a hardware engineering discipline such as mechanical engineering or electrical engineering. At least five years of experience leading or managing an engineering services team or an equivalent tools and infrastructure team at a technology company. At least 10 years of technology experience in software development, software architecture, systems, program management, or test.
