Edge and Internet Explorer are present on a userbase of more than a Billion machines, and are constantly updated to remain secure while providing a world class browsing experience. The Windows Servicing and Delivery (WSD) organization, which is part of Azure, is responsible for supporting in-market platforms for Windows with through security, feature and quality updates. Our Browser team within WSD is in charge of ensuring the Browsers continue to evolve and react to the environment changes while enabling both client and enterprise customers to use the browsers without disruption to their workflows. We are looking for Software Engineers of all levels to help us continue to make IE and Edge better with each monthly release. Challenges: • Security-related work, including industry-wide applicability issues such as the recently public Meltdown and Spectre • Working on customer bugs that span all areas of the browser, from networking,
• Working with Program Managers to understand and advocate for customers how to best address their issues • Debug Windows and browser code in multiple platforms to investigate and root cause bugs • Design, implement and test fixes for these issues to provide a consistent browsing experience while taking into account the possible impact into the existing user base of those browsers • Design, implement and test improvements for the evolution of those browsers according to each browser and platform's lifecycle in mind
• 3+ years of professional software development experience • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related discipline or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications: • Desire to collaborate with others • Proven problem solving, design, coding, debugging and testing skills • Passion for driving features end-to-end and solving hard problems Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
