Amazon Web Service’s EC2 organization is responsible for the backbone and infrastructure that provide scalable compute and storage to business’ of all sizes. With millions of instances deployed globally, you will find EC2 backing many of the most popular websites on the Internet. As an organization within EC2, Elastic Block Store (EBS) group is no exception. EBS is growing as the amount of data used by businesses that run on AWS continues to increase. EBS is the hard-drive for the Internet, storing exabytes of data for millions of AWS customers. The EBS product allows AWS customers to quickly provision and use scalable storage that meets the needs of their business. We build scalable products that enable our customer’s businesses to grow. Within EBS, the Developer Efficiency and Operations organization builds software systems to support the rapid growth of the EBS product. As a Software Development Manager in the organization you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to build
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (or 5+ years of relevant experience) · 4+ years of professional experience in software development/engineering · Computer Science fundamentals in problem solving, data structure, data structures and complexity analysis · Demonstrated leadership ability as either a lead software developer, software development manager or program manager · Deep understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping great software on time · Strong Customer Focus · Experience taking a lead role in architecting, designing, and building
