Software Development Manager - Amazon Web Services - Seattle, WA Help us reinvent the Cloud!! The AWS Application Discovery Service team is looking for a passionate, results-oriented, inventive Software Development Manager to deliver services to help Enterprise IT effectively use AWS. The candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the Enterprise IT management space, and will help us delight customers with a rich set of capabilities to understand their IT environments and integrate them with AWS services. As the development manager, you'll lead a talented and nimble team of engineers to create innovative ways for AWS customers to analyze and understand their current IT environments and to help them understand how to integrate and improve upon them using AWS services. Responsibilities include direct management of 5+ engineers, process and quality of service improvements, strategic planning, project management for software within the team, and management of resources across
Basic Qualifications: • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience • 5+ years people management experience • Experience with OOD and object oriented languages (either of: Java, C++ or C#) Preferred Qualifications: • Deep hands-on technical expertise • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong business and technical vision • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment • A deep understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software
