Interested in joining a team of technical leaders to build the most widely used data science and machine learning tool within Amazon? Eider, our hosted notebook service, is used by thousands of Amazon scientists and engineers to develop state-of-the-art data science solutions. Eider is the primary experience for ML education and is used by ML University and ML Bootcamps. We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join a rapidly growing team that is obsessed with delivering a great experience to our customers. We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in the Search team to help us building an internal hosted notebook service. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the design and implementation
· Minimum of 5 years experience in coding (Java/Scala/Python) · Practical experience in System Design, Object Oriented Programming as well as Functional Programming · Excellent problem solving ability · Communication and data presentation skills · An undergraduate in computer science (or related field) or equivalent experience· Graduate degree in computer science · 6+ years experience in Java development · 2+ years experience in JavaScript development (React) · Experience with AWS services · Experience in big data technologies (e.g. EMR, Spark, Hive) · Interest in learning about Machine Learning
