Core AI team Software Development Engineer
Are you obsessed with solving challenging problems? Do you have extraordinary software engineering skills? Do you think outside of the box and challenge the status quo? We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in the Core AI team to help us building an internal hosted notebook service. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the design and implementation of new software initiatives, built from the ground up, but with a wealth of Amazon infrastructure and services. Key Responsibilities · Build and improve software and tools by translating functional requirements into robust, scalable, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture · Participate in the full development life-cycle, including design, development, and implementation · Actively troubleshoot and support applications in production critical environments We hope that you: · Have a demonstrated
· Minimum of 6 years experience in coding (Java/Scala/Python) · Practical experience in System Design, Object Oriented Programming as well as Functional Programming · Excellent problem solving ability · Communication and data presentation skills · An undergraduate in computer science (or related field) or equivalent experience · Graduate degree in computer science · 6+ years experience in Java development · 2+ years experience in JavaScript development (React) · Experience with AWS services · Experience in big data technologies (e.g. EMR, Spark, Hive) · Interest in learning about Machine Learning
