Come change the way the world sees the Cloud! The CloudWatch Logs team builds and manages some of the largest logging systems in the world. CloudWatch Logs allows AWS users to ingest their application and AWS logs in a highly scalable, durable, and reliable service for enterprise scale; find and analyze the right log data to solve operational problems; generate metrics and alarms from their log events; or send log data to other downstream systems, for example. The Seattle-based CloudWatch Logs team is growing rapidly and is looking for talented software engineers who can help us create the massive scale and powerful new paradigms that our customers need to be successful. In the CloudWatch Logs team we are solving a variety of tough and interesting problems, from building highly-distributed ingestion systems at massive data scale, to building highly scalable and highly efficient storage engines, to creating streaming systems that process logs at high throughput, to building workflows and
· 4+ years of experience developing objected-oriented software, with mastery of one or more relevant languages (Java, C#, C++, Ruby, etc.) · Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal · Depth in data structures and algorithms, especially those dealing with concurrency or scaling · Experience with Agile engineering practices (continuous integration, TDD, etc.) · Advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field · Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role · Meets/exceeds Amazon’s
