The AWS Payments Platform provides the back and front-end services that enable AWS customers to purchase AWS services. Our teams tackle challenges at the intersection of unique business problems and massive distributed computing. We take on projects to re-define the financial software industry by continuously raising the bar on customer experience for international customers, payment methods and reconciliation. An improvement in our system can impact every AWS customer. The AWS Payments Processing team is agile, fast-moving team driving the future of this central piece of AWS customer experience. We are looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) to shape that future. In this role, you will participate in all parts of the software development process, from collaborating on design to executing that design in a secure, reliable and scalable way. · 5+ years of experience building and leading development teams that design and deliver highly reliable and scalable systems · Demonstrated experience in delivering software projects using Agile / Scrum methodologies · Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering (or equivalent) · Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills · Verified project management skills· Familiarity with Java and IDE · Previous experience utilizing AWS technology including SNS, SQS, SWF, DynamoDB, S3, etc.
