Our team is responsible for building BigData solutions using machine learning and AWS technologies over microservices architecture to churn worldwide operations data for generating insights to optimize cost for Amazon Supply Chain. We are seeking a strong engineer who can validate our success metrics, shape our strategies, and identify untapped opportunities. To be successful in this role you will need to be innovative in your thinking, effective at cross-team collaboration, experienced working with data science teams, and have a solid understanding of popular data stores. You will need to be comfortable working with complex challenges, dealing with ambiguity, and understand the value of rapid development, test and learn approaches. Roles and Responsibilities You will work as a senior engineer using the latest AWS, SQL/NoSQL technologies to build responsive Java/Scala based applications in a distributed service oriented architecture. · BS in Computer Science or related degree along with 6+ years of relevant experience · Proficiency in object oriented programming in Java, C# or C++ · Proficiency in coding and designing multi-attribute based analytics system · Experience in working with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark or other relevant technology / platform · Knowledge of Computer Science Fundamentals (data structures, systems design, algorithms, and problem solving) · Comfortable working in a lean, rapidly iterative product development process · 6+ years professional experience in software development with Master's
