Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) powers the physical engine at the heart of Amazon. AFT builds and operates software, hardware, and processes that run the global network of fulfillment centers that move many millions of units of inventory, employ tens of thousands of people, and ensure that customers get what they want when we promised we would get it to them. We do this by building automated solutions to handle things that technology does well, while relying on people to handle things that humans do well. The team is building a new Manufacturing Execution System platform product using industry standards and modeling concepts that will power the next generation of fulfillment centers. This new system will be configurable with plug and play capabilities such that new types of fulfillment centers and automation+robotics
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field · 3+ years professional experience in software development · Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms, problem solving, and complexity analysis · Knowledge of, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl· Experience with object-oriented analysis and design. · Development experience of using primary Amazon Web Services e.g. Amazon S3 and DynamoDB · Development experience defining, developing and maintaining REST based interfaces. · Excellence in technical communication
