Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) powers the physical engine at the heart of Amazon. AFT builds and operates software, hardware, and processes that run the global network of fulfillment centers that move many millions of units of inventory, employ tens of thousands of people, and ensure that customers get what they want when we promised we would get it to them. We do this by building automated solutions to handle things that technology does well, while relying on people to handle things that humans do well. The team is building a new Manufacturing Execution System platform product using industry standards and modeling concepts that will power the next generation of fulfillment centers. This new system will be configurable with plug and play capabilities such that new types of fulfillment centers and automation+robotics
· Programming experience in Java and deep understanding of object-oriented design. · A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field.· Experience with object-oriented analysis and design. · Development experience of using primary Amazon Web Services e.g. Amazon S3 and DynamoDB · Development experience defining, developing and maintaining REST based interfaces. · Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts.
