The Amazon Exports and Expansion team is looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) to help deliver key projects for their Export Eligibility and Selection team. The team is responsible for building the Atlas platform (a.k.a. Export Eligibility Platform – EEP) that runs primarily on AWS and Sable DataPath technologies. It is our vision to become the de-facto eligibility determination platform for all Amazon businesses requiring cross border eligibility decisions, which is key for Amazon to provide broad selection to international customers. Eligibility refers to whether a specific product may be made available to customers in a specific location based on legal and compliance restrictions combined with program-specific business. We enable customers from over 120 countries to purchase products on Amazon via performing cross border eligibility checks. We seek to improve this experience by making selection available across all Amazon marketplaces, so that customers can search and browse
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent knowledge and skills and industry experience. • 4+ years of professional experience developing production systems • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design • Computer Science fundamentals in data structures • Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis • Proficiency in Java. • Proven experience influencing software engineering best practices within your team, including design reviews, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
