The Kindle Design Studio creates amazing reading-related customer experiences via our apps, e-readers, and online products for content creators, readers, shoppers, students, educators, and more. Our Studio is seeking a talented, creative, and customer-obsessed senior user experience designer to join team in our downtown Seattle, WA location. We offer a creative, fast paced, and ownership-centric work environment where you’ll be driving a key part of the Kindle experience, helping our customers find the books they love more easily, read these books more richly and easily, and help authors tell their stories. You are strategic and highly collaborative and will work closely with a team of passionate designers, user researchers, product managers, and software developers to create the interaction flows,
• At least 7 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer or similar role • An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating beautiful, user-centered design solutions is a requirement for application • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills • Great eye for visual design and layout • A strong track record of iterative design, working closely with customers and peers and developers from inception through implementation. • Ability to work gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
