Would you like to join a team focused on producing high-quality technical publications for Amazon Web Services (AWS)? The AWS documentation team is looking for an experienced technical writer to create and deliver documentation, tutorials, and samples for Amazon Managed Services (AMS), which provides ongoing management of AWS infrastructure so enterprise customers can focus on their applications. You will own creating content that shows enterprise customers how to use automated managed services for change requests, monitoring, patch management, security, and backup services. Plus you’ll write content that shows how to use AMS full-lifecycle services to provision, run, and support a customer’s infrastructure. You will have the exciting opportunity to work with a stellar technical team to produce product documentation in a cross-functional, distributed environment. · A minimum of 7 years in a technical writing or lead writing role · Degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or related field · Proven experience designing, planning, and delivering developer-oriented/system admin documentation · Ability to read and understand source code in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or Ruby · Experience writing cross-product or cross-service content · Experience with XML-based publishing systems · Experience working directly with development teams· Experience with web services, particularly web operations, is a plus · Strong written
