Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring a Senior Systems Development Engineer to launch a new initiative and drive solutions across a number of new AWS capabilities. We're looking for a Senior Systems Development Engineer to own automation, scaling, and problem solving challenges in high-availability customer architectures that span across many AWS services. This includes working with AWS customers to understand their high-availability architectures and specific constraints in their designs, building systems to recreate and mirror those architectures and building automation to continuously test these systems to drive better designs across AWS services. You will become intimately familiar with the architecture of our systems and customer systems. You will be responsible for diving deep into code, while developing solutions for our customers and AWS services. You’ll drive prioritization of product features to improve customer experience and advise customers on their own designs while also assisting

· 5+ years of DevOps or SysOps experience in a large-scale software development environment. · 3+ years programming experience with at least one modern language. · 3+ years of experience contributing to automation for new and current systems.· Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, with a focus on running applications across many data centers in an active-standby and active-active modes. · Experience with distributed operational health and performance monitoring systems. · Experience specifying, designing, and/or implementing system health, performance monitoring tools. · Experience monitoring
