The Work and Code Flow Engineering Group is looking for a strong lead to be part of our Data Intelligence team. Our group is responsible for building tooling that improves productivity for individual developers. We also build large scale services for code movement and release. We own the release system and the codebase services for Windows. Our group also supports Windows, Xbox, App Store, and large Microsoft online properties with tooling for Code, Work, Build and Release management. We contribute to the Azure Dev Ops system via code contributions and extensions. We also make OSS contributions to developer tooling. Our goal is to build products that will enable shipping high quality products with high velocity. We are hiring talented and passionate people to help fulfill this vision.
You will manage a team of high caliber software and data engineers. This team is tasked with generating insights from the millions of data events being fired daily on client desktops and mobile devices and on the cloud services they interact with. We build systems for correlation of information from these different data sources, to draw deep insights that help shape our products. You will work on big data processing pipelines and correlation/aggregation of this data into easily consumable metrics and dashboards. You will work on metrics used to measure the productivity of engineers across Microsoft
Required qualifications: BS/MS in Computer Science Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience 5+ years of Software development experience Preferred qualifications: Passionate about Technology with a focus on Cloud technologies and Big Data Strong programming background (C++ or C#) Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
