The Azure Cloud development team is seeking a talented FW development engineer preferably with BIOS or UEFI FW development experience. Candidate will be a member of the MSFT Azure CSI/UEFI FW team and will be responsible for design and development of UEFI FW solutions for MSFT Cloud Platforms. The selected candidate will be a part of MSFT Cloud Platform development team that is engaging in the definition, design and development of the state of art technologies for MSFT Cloud Hardware.
Excellent understanding of UEFI FW specifications/concepts/driver models (PEI, DXE, BDS) Hands-on experience in firmware development and deeper understanding of Industry standards specifications like (PCIe, ACPI, OS boot loaders, PXE boot, etc.) Hands-on experience and solid technical understanding of Server Reliability, Availability and Serviceability (RAS) features is preferred Low level silicon bring up, kernel, driver development experience either with Windows or Linux Solid architecture, design, development, and testing skills Solid analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills; Ability
D in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or M.S. in Computer Science with 5+ years of experience in BIOS or UEFI FW or embedded FW development (or) A BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 8+ years of experience in BIOS or UEFI FW or embedded FW development Excellent C/C++ design and coding skills Understanding of Firmware/Hardware interactions and PC/AT architecture Good communications skills for understanding what features and for describing findings Microsoft is a highly innovative company that collaborates across disciplines to produce cutting edge cloud technology
