Maps Data platform owns the infrastructure providing push/pull service to our partners to publish and retrieve conflated geospatial data from backend spatial database. We crunch terabytes of maps data on a weekly basis which powers maps scenarios for both Microsoft first party and third party customers. We are investing heavily on building next-gen Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) pipeline to decrease the latency of our data publishing cycles. This would deliver rapid release to our partners while ensuring data freshness. Improve performance, scalability and agility of data publishing platform. Develop, test and deploy services to data publishing platform. Develop ETL components that transforms data from third party provider feeds for business use cases. Develop data analytics tool for deeper insights into processed big datasets.
BS/MS in CS, EE or equivalent degree. 7+ years of industry experience designing and developing enterprise scale services and platforms 7+ years of hands-on software development experience in either C++or C# or Java Solid analytical, debugging and problem solving skills Experience working in agile environment using scrum practices. Preferred Skills: Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment where smart decisions and trade-offs need to be made.
