Work directly with game developers to understand and address their technical problems Collaborate with Xbox, Xbox Live, and the core OS teams on new features and optimizations Work closely with the 1 st and 3 rd Party Publishing groups to drive technical issues raised by game developers with appropriate teams across Microsoft Research and develop focused solutions, samples, and white papers that showcase advanced techniques on our platforms Understand and align solutions to the business needs of the platform Develop and deliver technical presentations at game developer conferences
3+ years professional work experience, preferably in the video games or related industry Rock solid C++ programming skills Experience implementing networking solutions using peer-to-peer and/or client-server topologies over TCP/UDP (Berkeley Sockets/Winsock) Experience in one or more of: Xbox Live, RESTful services, SSL/TLS, IPSec, Claims-based Authentication/Certificates, VOIP, media-streaming, and Azure or similar cloud-hosting environments Experience in development role for games on one or more of Xbox, Windows, or other console or mobile game platforms Demonstrated experience in the areas of
