Amazon Route 53 is a highly available and scalable Domain Name System (DNS) service offered by Amazon Web Services. We operate in over 100 locations worldwide and provide a 100% available service with advanced functionality such as latency-based routing (LBR), Private DNS, Geo DNS routing, DNS failover, and integration with other services (Amazon CloudFront, Amazon S3, Amazon Elastic Load Balancing, and more). Thousands of customers including Amazon.com, all of AWS, and many of the biggest names on the internet rely on us. When the service was released in 2010, we re-invented DNS, providing 100% availability, a web API to manage DNS and fast change propagation. Since then, AWS and our customers have grown tremendously, leading to a lot of ongoing innovation that we are driving into the platform. As a key platform service, we have plans to provide customers with a DNS service that is safe, secure and easy to use. We are are constantly thinking about architectural improvements to support
· At minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field · 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience · Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java or C++, including object-oriented design · 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems· Proficiency with multiple programming languages · Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project · Strong distributed systems and web services design
