Amazon’s independent publishing service, Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), empowers creators by tearing down barriers that once blocked writers from reaching readers. We are looking for a skilled software developer to join our team. You will build best-in-class user experiences for authors to publish content and get paid, and for readers to discover and enjoy the stories they like. You will also build reliable and performant systems that can scale to serve authors and readers across continents. You will gain first-hand experience building products using Amazon Web Services (AWS) services and latest front-end technologies (web and mobile). You will also have the opportunity to work on a wide range of problems such as data store and workflow management, API design and service integration, and mobile app/web UX, while
· B.S. or B.E. in Computer Science or related fields · 6+ years of production software development or equivalent experience · Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers · Proficiency in at least one modern programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, Python · Strong in Computer Science fundamentals and core areas like Problem solving, Data structures, Algorithms and Complexity analysis · Experience developing end-to-end full-stack software systems · Experience with distributed computing and enterprise-wide systems
