We are looking for a senior engineer to get in on the ground floor and lead an effort to deliver voice-driven experiences for a new Alexa Smart Home area. You will play a lead role in defining and building innovative capabilities that make Alexa the user interface for the home. You will create and leverage high-scale services to control Smart Home devices from the cloud. Your work will span Alexa skills, voice user interfaces, AWS technology, and a rapidly-growing ecosystem of IoT devices. · 7 + years experience building successful production software systems · BS or MS in CS or related field· Experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs. · Experience developing cloud software services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability. · Demonstrated ability to mentor other software developers to maintain architectural vision and software quality
