As a Programmer Writer for Lumberyard, you will have the exciting opportunity to work with a stellar technical team to produce product documentation and code examples in a cross-functional, distributed environment. We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running, and work collaboratively to produce great documentation that simplifies, explains, and empowers users to get the most from the Lumberyard product. As a Programmer Writer, you will play a crucial role in helping our customers get up and running quickly, providing them with technical information they need to build amazing games. · Experience writing code examples, especially C++, Lua, or Python · Degree in Computer Science, English, Technical Writing, or related field or equivalent experience· Experience with game development! · Experience using source control tools (e.g. GitHub, Mercurial) and practices · Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly · Demonstrated ability to write concisely for a developer audience, to a high standard of written and spoken English · Demonstrated ability to collaborate with product owners to set project priorities · Keen technical curiosity, with outstanding research and problem-solving
