The mission of the 1 Engineering System (1ES) team in Developer Services Organization is to enhance productivity of Microsoft's engineering teams with world-class tools and systems to help ship products that the world loves. Our team is building a new system to shift left and automate security and compliance controls within the engineering system, allowing engineers to focus on the things they love – developing software. We are looking for a star Senior Program Manager with excellent academic and industry track record to drive a strategic roadmap, focused on engineering agility and automating compliance. For the right candidate we have flexibility and are open to Senior or Principal level candidates. This role requires a candidate with a strong technology background and strong experience in data driven product management / program management. The ideal candidate will have advanced education in computer science or related areas, experience in product management driving new product initiatives
Work with partners and users to define and deliver experiences that provide the workflow and process for compliance as a service Work with policy owners to understand their needs and work with engineering to define and deliver the roadmap and features that support those needs Drive user research, telemetry, and A/B testing to provide best in class data driven insights Work with UX designers to design experiences that are both highly effective and aesthetically pleasing Engage with cross-functional teams to drive execution of Policy system in Azure DevOps and GitHub.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business or related fields 8+ years of experience in technology product management leading products from definition to launch and successful customer adoption Preferred Qualifications: Successful track record in driving product strategy and customer engagements for technology products Good understanding of and experience in engineering systems High motivation and entrepreneurial work ethic Direct experience in working with engineering teams to launch new technology products Resourceful self-starter with a track-record of driving action and results
