The Amazon Books team is looking for an experienced product manager to drive customer experience development, new product initiation and improvements for the books shopping experience. The primary goal is to understand customer requirements, invent a better shopping experience, define requirements, and collaborate with designers and developers to conceptualize, test and implement new customer experiences and strategic programs. The ideal candidate will be innovative and team oriented, with a track record of delivering high impact customer shopping experience improvements. We are seeking someone with a history of success using customer data to identify and prioritize opportunities and building systems that scale across multiple screen surfaces and geographies. We further seek candidates that exercise judgement and apply frameworks to prioritize activities and are familiar with A/B testing practices. · Bachelor’s degree · 5 years of product management or similar experience · Demonstrated business judgment as well as ability to think creatively, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize · Strong oral and written communication skills, a bias for action and a proven ability to influence others in and across teams and organizations · A proven track record of delivering technology products from conception through completion on time, within budget and on or beyond scope · Experience working closely with engineering teams to define, scope and prioritize product
