Role and Opportunity: The Surface development team is seeking a talented senior mechanical engineer with a strong background and experience in static and dynamic finite element analysis (FEA) for consumer electronics hardware development. Job responsibilities will encompass simulation of rapidly changing structures and mechanical systems to evaluate functionality and reliability performance. You need to be a team player who works well in a collaborative environment with peers in other development and quality disciplines as well as program management.
Minimum Qualification: • PhD in mechanical engineering or related field or equivalent experience • Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering and FEA; including static, quasi-static, and dynamic • Minimum of 5 years in consumer electronics Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with a wide variety of materials • Competency in CAD, Creo preferred • Ability to quickly ramp-up on complex mechanical systems Desired Experience/Qualities: • Support development of multiple consumer electronics programs simultaneously. • Ability to drive development of analytical tools and processes across
