These devices were created by Amazon, are the size of a small cooler, and roll along sidewalks at a walking pace. We developed Amazon Scout at our research and development lab in Seattle, ensuring the devices can safely and efficiently navigate around pets, pedestrians and anything else in their path. · BS in Mechanical Engineering · 10+ years of experience as a lead engineer for the design of complex electro-mechanical products and equipment · 7+ years of experience designing and debugging tooled custom components for volume production (injection molding, sheet-metal, cast, etc.) · Experience in Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly, Tolerancing and GD and T · Strong hands-on experience with the ability to craft proof-of-concept prototypes · Good understanding and use of principles, theories and concepts in mechanical engineering · Ability to effectively communicate concepts and proposals
