Amazon performance advertising is looking for a technology executive to lead and drive innovation for our global advertising marketplace. At the heart of our advertising business are systems for placing sponsored products (SP) or ads within shopping experiences driven by ecommerce search. The Sr Mgr of SP Marketplace in Search is responsible for evolving these systems, inventing new shopper and advertiser experiences within the context of shoppers’ search experience, and accelerating the pace of Machine Learning for relevance of ads within the search context. From influencing customer facing shopping experiences with relevant ad experiences to helping suppliers grow their retail business, this role will be building and operating the engine of one the fastest growing businesses at Amazon. · 10+ years of relevant engineering experience · 5+ years of people management experience, managing engineers · Experience in partnering with product and program management teams · MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Operations Research or a related field. · 10+ years of experience operating, managing, and driving end-to-end products at scale, delivering results, leading high performance science and software engineering teams · A consistent record of measurable results building complex, multi-site, www- scale distributed development environment and systems · Experience in OOP, Java,
