Prime Video is disrupting traditional media with an ever-increasing selection of movies, TV shows, Emmy Award winning original content, add-on subscriptions including HBO and Showtime, and live events like Thursday Night Football. Our services are engineered for high availability, maximum reach, and cost savings we can pass on to customers. We enable the world to watch video instantly, from any device, whether on the road or from the comfort of a living room sofa. Linear content is unique for customers in the sense that it provides a) the availability of live event broadcasts such as Grammy’s, Australian Open, Winter Olympics and b) provides content for ‘zone out’ situations wherein customers don’t spend too much time figuring out what to watch. We are building a new team to disrupt the Live TV viewing experience. The team designs, implements, and operates the systems responsible for enabling Live TV experience to the Prime Video customers worldwide. This is a young and evolving business
· 10+ years of relevant engineering experience · 5+ years of people management experience, managing engineers · Experience in partnering with product and program management teams · Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. · Experience with at least one modern programming languages (Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#) · Experience building customer and developer facing products and services · Experience with project delivery for cross-functional projects· Deep hands-on technical expertise · Strong business and technical vision · Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced
