We are seeking a senior leader who will lead a team to expand the capability of the Machine Learning platform capabilities within AWS as well as going into uncharted new business opportunities. As a Senior Software Development Manager on the team, you will be expected to operate at all levels, diving deep into the details while providing strategic inputs for the product. You will own leading and growing a team to architect and implement complex technological initiatives that could span multiple teams and expected to successfully deliver major product releases. In this role you will work closely with stakeholders, other engineering managers and product teams to deliver mission-critical, and complex products and features. You will be a critical engineering leader who will lead the estimation process, assess risks and effectively mentor team members to improve their skills and raise the bar on software development best practices. · Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field. · 8+ years experience building successful production software systems. · 6+ years management experience (including a combination of experience hiring, managing performance, and providing technical leadership) · 3+ years experience managing managers · The ability to take raw product requirements and develop software architectures and designs to bring them to life. · Experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs. · Advanced degree in in Computer Science · Experience building ML systems · Has a track
