Do you want to join a new User Research Team and make a difference with the digital transformation of Microsoft? Core Services Engineering (CSE) builds the critical products and services that Microsoft runs on including many of the tools for Microsoft's Field organization. The Senior User Researcher will join a team of researchers who focus deeply on uncovering unmet, unarticulated needs to inform the company's strategy for transforming the tools that our field uses everyday. In this role, you will become a trusted, strategic partner to product stakeholders by delivering actionable insights that lead to demonstratable business value. Design and Research work side by side to understand, envision and evaluate experiences for our sellers. Using creative and agile methods your work will contribute to the establishment of this world-class research team.

Key responsibilities: Influential Senior UX researcher who has a breadth of product making experience to draw upon as you provide research expertise to your project space Balance both agile and strategic research methods on a daily basis to influence product direction, and overall user experience Experience as a research project lead for a large business area, delivering a user research plan and strategy Design and execute promptly on a cohesive and focused research plan for a critical area, establishing user experience goals and metrics as a guide post for the team to strive towards Conduct diverse
Knowledge, experience and skills: Experience performing research in Design Sprints, Agile Development models and running large projects/programs which span multiple months 7+ years in user experience research, design research, product research or equivalent (i.e. hands on) so that you have successes and failures to draw upon Well established portfolio of research techniques from ethnography, field studies, interviews, usability studies, concept validation, A/B testing, user journey mapping, surveys, scorecards and competitive analysis.
