We are looking for a talented international trade attorney with deep export control experience to support a rapidly growing team developing cutting-edge technology. The successful candidate will develop, implement and support all aspects of an export control compliance program. You will develop policies, procedures and trainings, as well as recommend creative solutions to simplify existing processes. You will also frequently meet with the team’s various engineering sub-teams to review their technology and determine appropriate classifications. We are looking for an export control attorney who is motivated, passionate and can start as a “jack of all (export control) trades” but also build/manage a team as needed. This role will give the successful candidate an opportunity to join a collaborative team within a fast-paced, innovative and customer-centric company. Some travel, domestic and international, will be required.
· J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in one state bar · 10+ years working on international trade matters, with an emphasis on export control matters · Ability to understand technical details (both software and hardware) · Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally, as needed· Experience with cutting-edge technology, particularly involving multiple hardware and software engineering disciplines such as robotics, autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, aerospace or telecommunications · Experience developing, implementing or revamping an export control
